The TAVERN RANGERS grew from the first volunteers to
clear the weeds and over-growth in 1992. They now identify, preserve,
recycle, maintain materials and tools, sort out colonial and more recent
history, artifacts and archeological finds, and anything else related to the
building and grounds of RH/HT.
The following describes some of the Ranger activities in pictures.

The cleaning, clearing, rebuilding
and painting on the tavern
was done by the Rangers.
Reconstructing the second-story
veranda.
Tavern Rangers recovered old bricks in
and around Heathsville to build walkways and area below the Veranda.
A kitchen for the restaurant was added
to the back of the old building.
An old meat shed was moved from
property near-by and will be incorporated into
the complex.
